The City Council of Haría, through the Mobility Area, will install bicycle parking in all the towns of the municipality. This initiative, which has the financing and management of the Transportation and Mobility Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, responds to a previous request made from the same department of the City Council, which seeks to promote the use of bicycles as a sustainable and safe means of transportation.
The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlighted that "these actions respond to a real demand from citizens, in addition to contributing to improving sustainable mobility and road safety in the municipality."
For his part, the Councilor for Mobility, Marcos Lemes, stressed the importance of this measure for safety and accessibility in the municipality. "Having these bicycle parking facilities in all the towns is an advance to normalize the use of bicycles as a common means of transportation," he concluded.
The execution of the project will be coordinated by the Municipal Technical Office, which will supervise the correct installation of the infrastructures, adapted to the characteristics of each locality.
The main objective of this project is to advance in active sustainable mobility policies, facilitating bicycle travel between urban centers.
