The crisis of Coalición Canaria in Haría is growing. Chaxiraxi Niz, Armando Bonilla and Alejandro Hernández have presented this Tuesday morning, December 27, a letter in which they resign from the municipal group of the formation and request to move to the group of non-attached members. The nationalist formation is thus left with only one member, Víctor Robayna, of the five with which the mandate began.

The division of Coalición Canaria in the northern municipality began in 2020 with the issue of the Cueva de Los Verdes, when there was already a division of votes in the ranks of the nationalist formation. Subsequently, the motion of censure against the socialist Alfredo Villalba caused one of its councilors, Soraya Brito, to leave the party.

During the pact with the Municipal Platform of Haría, tensions caused that after passing the baton of command that pact was broken. The straw that broke the camel's back was the designation of Víctor Robayna as candidate for Mayor against the former mayor Chaxiraxi Niz.

Behind this decision could be the creation of a new party "Compromiso por Haría" with which these three councilors would run in the 2023 elections. La Voz has tried to contact the councilors but it has been impossible.
