The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, visited this Wednesday the conservation and maintenance works of Calle Princesa Ico, in Puerto del Carmen.
Accompanied by the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the Minister of Public Works, Alfredo Mendoza, as well as several municipal authorities, the president was able to see first-hand the status of these actions that began on June 6 and are part of the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo of Lanzarote 2021.
Dolores Corujo valued the advanced state of the actions and expressed her satisfaction "that the projects of the Cooperation Plan are materializing and helping to modernize and repair the infrastructure of the Island."
"These works encourage us to strengthen collaboration with the town councils and continue helping with funding for projects that improve the lives of citizens", said Corujo.
"The residents of Princesa Ico street, in Puerto del Carmen, finally have a street in good condition to walk and stroll. This project has been necessary for years and now we can say that we have an improved street," says the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz.

Awarded for an amount of 345,049 euros, this is added to three other projects of the municipality of Tías that make up the Municipal Cooperation Plan in the municipality. The estimated duration of the work is two months and consists of the execution of the underground canalization in the sections not executed previously, comprising five road crossings and a section under the sidewalk, "all with their corresponding records in the road crossings and every twenty-five meters under sidewalks".
Likewise, from the Cabildo they assure that the area destined to vehicles will be repaved and, finally, the definitive signage will be placed and the gardening will be prepared.
