The Nationalist Group in the Arrecife City Council proposes the execution of a transformation project of the land attached to the Civic Center, "equipping it with a sports court and outdoor recreation area of the center itself, with a simple and low cost installation".
Coalición Canaria points out that this will be one of the motions that the nationalists will debate at the plenary session that the capital Corporation will hold this Friday, October 29.
“Arrecife is a city that continues to need free spaces and open public infrastructures, with an adequate endowment, in which our neighbors can enjoy their leisure time,” said the spokesperson for the Nationalist Group, Echedey Eugenio, who also stresses that “the location of this site and its reduced intervention cost could make this action a priority for the City Council.”
“So the plot in question already has part of the work done, the foundations and foundations, since it is municipal land where until a few years ago the removable facilities used by the educational community of the CEIP la Destila were located during the construction works of the new school”, recalls the CC spokesperson.
“After the transfer to the new center, these facilities were dismantled and that space was left free, but with remains of the old installation that today pose a danger to the neighbors. However, they can be used and convert that area into a space suitable for the enjoyment of citizens”, Eugenio emphasizes.
