The spokesperson for the Canarian Coalition in the Tías City Council, Amado Vizcaíno, has conveyed “the discomfort of the population of the southern municipality who, day after day, have to suffer the consequences of the celebration of binge drinking, without any type of control measure being put in place by the City Council presided over by José Juan Cruz.”
“Every day it becomes more evident the misgovernment that is experienced in our municipality. As if we didn't have enough problems, now the population also has to suffer the noise, dirt and lack of civic-mindedness of those who have made binge drinking their form of fun,” said the mayor.
Thus, he emphasizes that the Municipal Government “is not only ignoring binge drinking” since “it does not put any type of measure to avoid them”, but “they are not even capable of activating a cleaning and disinfection device to avoid not only the bad image but also the bad odors and health problems.”
From the formation they affirm that these are the “pressing problems that those who reside in La Tiñosa have to suffer, due to the fact that the remains of these uncontrolled parties can remain for entire days waiting for the pertinent authorities to simply make the decision to clean and disinfect.”
“Bottles, plastic cups, tampons, pads, urine, and of course odors. That is what we are finding on our streets every weekend. Remains of the binge drinking celebrated every week during Friday and Saturday and that by Tuesday no one has cleaned,” says the CC spokesperson.
“Those of us who reside in this municipality do not deserve a hidden misgovernment but a government that works. Therefore, we ask that an urgent solution be put in place for binge drinking but until they do, at least, out of respect, prepare a special cleaning and disinfection device for the streets of La Tiñosa,” adds Vicaíno.
