The Local Committee of the Canarian Coalition in San Bartolomé has once again denounced the "malfunction" of the Tax Network in the municipality and has demanded "urgent solutions." The local secretary, Eduardo Díaz, states that "it is not normal for there to be only one person to attend to the office and that our neighbors have to waste hours in a huge line to be attended because you call by phone and nobody answers."
Likewise, he recalled that "it is not the first time that the nationalists have denounced the lack of control of the Tax Network or that they have asked the City Council to take action on the matter." "It is about facilitating the entire tax payment procedure for citizens, but instead, all we see is that the situation worsens day by day," adds Díaz.
The nationalists do not understand "this lack of control and disinterest" on the part of the municipal Government Group, instead of doing everything possible to help all those neighbors who are suffering the economic consequences of the pandemic."
"Our colleagues in the City Council have been asking for a tax reduction since March 2020 and they have not paid any attention, they removed the cadastre office, there is still no closeness to the neighbor and that integration without inconvenience for the people that the mayor said there would be continues to not be effective," explains the local secretary of CC.
Faced with this situation, the Canarian Coalition once again demands "more personnel for adequate attention to citizens" and demands that the receipts be passed at the end of the year and gradually, charging the IBI, garbage or filming for consecutive months, as well as providing the dependencies with permanent staff,"thus avoiding the lack of attention to the neighbors due to the lack of said personnel", and that the powers in cadastre are also carried out directly in the municipality.
