The candidate of Coalición Canaria for the Mayor's Office of the Tías City Council, Amado Vizcaíno, has once again warned "about the danger posed to the safety of residents, especially the youngest, by the situation of deterioration and total neglect of the sports courts in the municipality."
Vizcaíno recalls that "it has been more than a year since an urgent action was requested in the plenary hall, especially in the town of Masdache, but nothing has been done."
“They called me an exaggerator because I assured them that the facilities were literally destroyed and the entrance path full of excrement, they even said that the government was working and making all kinds of improvements to all the courts, but the reality is that in these three years of mandate this government group has not been able to even maintain what was already done,” stressed the nationalist spokesperson.
The CC councilor insists on his warning and points out that “unfortunately, the news is full of minors who have died after a goal fell on them that was not properly anchored to the ground. Hopefully we don't have to see that situation.”
But the situation in Masdache "is not unique in the municipality"; as Vizcaíno emphasizes, “we can also talk about Mácher, Conil, La Asomada, Puerto del Carmen or Tías, because it would be exactly the same. We have a government that is not up to the standards of a municipality like Tías.”
Thus, the CC councilor highlights the "lack of leadership of the mayor who allows the sports councilor not to assume his responsibilities and demonstrate a total neglect in issues as important as the arrangement and adequate maintenance of the facilities or the payment of subsidies in a timely manner."
“He is always late in the payment of subsidies, he has not brought forward anything that was not already planned in the past term and what he has taken out he has done late and badly,” Vizcaíno emphasizes and gives as an example the works in the Tías pavilion, emphasizing that “the project has been since 2019, but they have not begun to be executed until 2022, also choosing the moment in which sports competitions have already begun, which is causing serious problems for the clubs of the municipality who, among other inconveniences, must move to play outside,” he concludes.
