CC appeals the decision of the Central Electoral Board not to extend the deadline for voting from abroad

Belda explained that the procedure begins by appealing to the Central Electoral Board itself, after which, if the claim is not admitted, two legal avenues are opened: an administrative-contentious appeal before the Supreme Court, which would take time, and an electoral dispute against the proclamation of elected candidates, which also begins in the administrative sphere, continues in the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands and culminates in the Constitutional Court.

The nationalists guarantee that in case they consider that the non-counting of votes received between May 31 and June 4 -date until which its validity was extended- harms their results, if none of the previous bodies gives them the reason, they will reach the Constitutional Court, calculating Belda that this last sentence could be issued in mid-July.

While this whole process is underway, the Parliament can be constituted with "normality", noting in the corresponding session the circumstance that an electoral dispute is pending resolution, in such a way that if the final sentence entails any change in the composition of the Chamber, the proclamation of the then affected deputies is annulled.
