In light of the recent information published in various media outlets regarding the selection process for staff that involves the family circle of the CEO of the Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism of Lanzarote (CACT), Ángel Vázquez, the Presidency of the Cabildo has initiated the appropriate actions aimed at clarifying the facts officially.

To this end, the President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, Oswaldo Betancort, signed a Presidential provision on Friday, October 2nd, specifically addressed to the Human Resources department of the Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism (CACT), requesting background information.

Through this formal request, motivated by the news disseminated this Thursday, October 1st, regarding the award of a permanent position as a dishwasher, Betancort requests the urgent submission of the complete copy of the technical file.

Specifically, he asks for the delivery of all applications, merits, and documentation submitted by the applicants, as well as the corresponding evaluation minutes and the members of the Selection Body or Qualifying Tribunal.

Upon receipt of this documentation, the Presidency will proceed with the rigorous analysis of the administrative background of the competition, with the aim of ensuring maximum transparency in the public contracting procedures of the island corporation before issuing any definitive ruling.
