The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, has signed this day the decree modifying the areas of government after a year and a half of work, "to continue improving the services we provide to citizens. The one I preside over is a group of hard-working people who are redoubling their efforts to solve the problems inherited from four years of standstill. I thank each and every one of them for the work they have been doing," said the island's representative.

The presidential resolution establishes the following new delegations among the nationalist councillors: the Area of Transport, Mobility and Accessibility will now be managed by councillor Miguel Ángel Jiménez; while Industry will be the responsibility of councillor Aroa Revelo. For his part, the Area of Employment is the responsibility of councillor Jesús Machín. The management of the Insular Conservatory of Music and the Department of Inclusive Training and Employment has been delegated to councillor Ascensión Toledo. In addition, Economic Promotion has councillor Nori Machín as its new political head, according to the delegations signed this Monday by the island's president.

On the other hand, the president assumes under his management the areas of Internal Regime and Historical Heritage.

"This restructuring of the government of Lanzarote and La Graciosa that I have signed this Monday will improve our administrative activity to continue a work that we have programmed for four years. Without rest and silently we will continue with an efficient management, something that we are already achieving with measures such as the purchase of homes or new investments in water infrastructure, among many others."
