Aunts offer families talks on mental health, well-being, boundaries, and pornography

The training program includes a free play area and four lectures by specialized professionals

The Tías City Council will host the Educar en Familia (Educating in Family) training program starting next February 5, which includes a free playgroup and four lectures by specialized professionals on social networks and mental health, the well-being triangle, setting boundaries, and pornography.

The talks, which will be given from 5 to 7 p.m. at the headquarters of Social Welfare and Family of the council, located next to the church of San Antonio, have been organized and financed by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Area of Family and Educational Participation.

The Councilor for Welfare and Family of the Tías City Council, Nicolás Saavedra, invites all families in the municipality to participate in this training program, which represents a unique opportunity to acquire practical tools and knowledge that promote enriching education and healthy coexistenceThe first conference will take place on February 5 and will be given by Idaira Alemán, a social worker who will break down the most relevant aspects of social networks, **mental health, and addiction prevention**.

The next meeting, led by psychologist Isabel Tejera, will be held on March 12 and will focus on establishing "respectful boundaries" by learning to listen, understand, and guide.

Sleep, Move, Grow: The Triangle of Well-being is the title of the third talk, which will be given by psychologist Laura de la Cruz on April 16. De la Cruz will also be in charge of lecturing on May 14 about pornography and the need to accompany without fear when talking about sexuality.

Educar en Familia is a program designed to respond to the educational and social needs of Canary Islands families, addressing current topics such as family coexistence, educational co-responsibility, responsible use of technology, and other fundamental aspects for the integral development of children and adolescents.
