The Arrecife City Council has granted urban licenses for the construction of three new buildings for housing in the neighborhoods of Altavista, San Francisco Javier and La Vega.

According to the Consistory, one of the licenses approved by the Arrecife Governing Board in its meeting last Friday, February 14, will allow the construction of 10 homes, in a two-story building between party walls, on a plot located on Sorondongo streets, corner of Agrupación Folclórica Los Campesinos, in the San Francisco Javier neighborhood. In this regard, it is indicated that the authorization of the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), because Arrecife is in the aeronautical easement zone, is dated December 11.

The Arrecife Governing Board also approved granting a license for the construction of a four-house building in the Altavista neighborhood, on the site of Filipinas Street. The mandatory authorization from AESA is dated in this case October 18, 2019, and the favorable report from the Arrecife Technical Office was issued on February 11, 2020.

Finally, it was also approved to grant a license to complete a building of 20 homes and 20 parking spaces on Brasilia Street, corner of Nuestra Señora de los Volcanes. This three-story building with a basement is located in the La Vega neighborhood, near the Arrecife Shopping Center, and has AESA authorization dated October 22, 2019.

The mayor of Arrecife, Ástrid Pérez, has highlighted that "these new licenses favor investment, the local economy and employment".
