The Arrecife City Council has begun to install Christmas lights and has put out to tender the competition for the service of organization, realization and production of the Cavalcade of the Magi.
The Public Sector Contracting Platform has inserted since last Friday, November 8, the official announcement of the Arrecife City Council, where the services for the organization and production of the Cavalcade of the Magi are put out to tender, which will take place on January 5, 2020.
Interested companies or groups have until Monday, November 25 to participate in this official tender, which is endowed with a budget of 62,835 euros, including taxes. According to the rules, the Contracting Table will meet on December 4 to open the economic offers.
Installation of Christmas lighting
Regarding the assembly and installation of Christmas decorations and lighting, it began this Monday by the operators of the awarded company, starting with the Altavista neighborhood and the area of El Reducto Beach. Two crane vans, with several crews, will carry out this assembly in these weeks of November.
The first Christmas lights and decorations are already shining on the promenade next to El Reducto Beach, and on Calle León y Castillo, in its section of the Altavista neighborhood, on the way out to Teguise. The streets and squares of the different neighborhoods of Arrecife will have the traditional Christmas lights.
The City Council highlights that the intention of the new government group of Arrecife is that the capital of Lanzarote looks with an attractive Christmas atmosphere for residents and visitors, and to boost the area of restaurants, shops and leisure, which this year has the reopening of the Avenida Marítima. The company Porgesa S.A. is the awarded company of the contract, with the extension established in the original tender.
According to the City Council, the material is "innovative and respectful with energy consumption". The city will be illuminated with 735,000 LED points with more than 7,000 meters of LED microlamps, about three hundred decorations, in addition to 15 meters of LED micro lamp and decorations and games.
