The Arrecife City Council has authorized the construction of new buildings that will house 34 new homes, with their respective garages. The works, approved by the Governing Board at the meeting this Wednesday, are promoted "by SMEs from Lanzarote", according to the City Council.
Specifically, the Arrecife Governing Board, meeting by videoconference and chaired by the popular mayor Astrid Pérez, has approved granting licenses for three new properties. In all three projects, their promoters are moving forward with the planned investments and are requesting an extension of these licenses.
According to the projects registered in the Municipal Technical Office, the properties will be built on Figueroa Street (4 homes, 2 offices and garage in the center of Arrecife) and in the neighborhoods of La Vega (12 homes and garages) and Los Alonso (union of three buildings with 18 residential units). The approved urban planning licenses authorize the construction of buildings between party walls and three stories high.
The mayor of Arrecife, Ástrid Pérez, has highlighted that "these private initiatives contribute to the creation of new employment in the construction sector, where the promoters are also local companies, contributing to the economic revitalization of Lanzarote."
