The Official Bulletin of the Province of Las Palmas published the official announcement of the Arrecife City Council last Friday, January 10, where the bases for the call for five new positions for officers of the Local Police are approved.
The mayor, and direct head of the Local Police, Yonathan de León, has highlighted that the process has been activated with the positions assigned in the Public Employment Offers of the years 2021 and 2023. For this reason, the mayor thanks the good work of the Human Resources Area of the City Council, under the direction of the councilor Eli Merino, for the speed in the call for this selective process, which began in the new year.
These five new officer positions will join the 12 new agents who took office in November of last year.
Internal promotion selection
According to these bases, the City Council has promoted internal promotion. Thus, these five new positions for officers of the Local Police will be filled by the internal promotion procedure. Agents who apply must have a minimum seniority of two years as officials of the Local Police of Arrecife.
To apply for this call, the bases establish "to have a minimum of two years of seniority as a career official in the position of Police Officer of the Local Police of the Arrecife City Council, belonging to the Special Administration scale, Special Services subscale, Local Police Class, Group C, Subgroup C1, active in the Arrecife City Council, with the period of permanence as a Career official being computed from the date of the act of taking office as an official in practice. c) Be in possession of the title of Higher Baccalaureate, BUP, Second Grade Professional Training, Higher Grade Training Cycle, equivalents or any other title that enables it, issued by the competent body in accordance with current legislation. d) Be in one of the administrative situations of active service, special services or services in other administrations and not be in a situation of second activity".
Yonathan de León has announced that as soon as these five positions are filled by this administrative process, the City Council will continue to fill these five agent positions that will be vacant, along with another procedure, and that the Law will allow to provide through the Service Commission systems or with the provisions of the internal replacement rates established by Public Function.
The Local Police of Arrecife has stood out for being a body that is registering a significant modernization of its facilities, equipment and technological tools for monitoring security in the capital of Lanzarote.
