The socialist spokesperson in the Haría Town Hall, Alfredo Villalba, has demanded that José Torres Stinga and his new allies from Coalición Canaria "stop lying regarding the Cueva de los Verdes agreement as a result of the new judicial pronouncement."
The Court, upon the request for approval of the Agreement signed in its day by Pedro San Ginés and Marciano Acuña and the addendum incorporated to it, has denied the requested approval for not including the payment of late payment interests.
Faced with this judicial pronouncement, the socialist leader has recalled that José Torres Stinga justified his negative vote to the addendum, in which the amount of the debt was established, considering that the recognized amount did not adjust to reality.
«José Torres, as usual, was lying. Nothing about twenty-two million euros, the amount recognized in the agreement's addendum is correct and the discussion of the interests remains pending the Cabildo's appeal», Villalba pointed out.
In that sense, the former mayor of the northern municipality has highlighted that the Court Order also represents a hard blow for the signatories of the original agreement.
«Now we understand why they never wanted to take the agreement to court for approval. If at this moment the Court does not admit the compensation of the interests, it would have admitted even less the six million euros with which Pedro and Marciano wanted to deceive the people of Haría. It had to be the PSOE that included the addendum that includes the real figure of just over twelve million euros to do justice with Haría», he recalled.
Finally, Villalba recalled the "absurd situation that has been caused by the unnatural pact" between Coalición Canaria and the Municipal Platform of Haría: "Pedro and Marciano signed six million and break with the PSOE for having demonstrated that it is twelve million. José Torres does not support the PSOE because he says that it is twenty-two million and not the twelve that the PSOE has signed. However, now they ally in a pact that demonstrates that what has least worried them is that justice was done with Haría", he concluded.
