The Tías City Council will have five Work-Study Training Programs (PFAE) this year. Specifically, this Friday they started with two of them, Dinamiza Tías II and Tías en Verde II, so 40 people have been hired. The initiatives are financed by the Canarian Employment Service, which subsidizes each one with 340,411.50 euros.
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Culture, Pepa González, welcomed the members of these two PFAEs, each of them with 15 student-workers and five people in charge of the management, teaching and administrative team. According to the mayor, "this is a training opportunity that can make subsequent access to the labor market easier. Our desire is to increase employability and training in the municipality."
The student-workers of the PFAE Dinamiza Tías II and Tías en Verde II will work and train for eleven months and will obtain a training certificate in the corresponding specialty, being able to apply for the certificate of professionalism.
They will receive theoretical-practical training at the same time that they have an employment contract through which they will develop a work or service of public utility and social interest related to the specialty of the project. They will also obtain training and job guidance, training in occupational safety and health, training on how to create a company, computer literacy and key skills.
