The coasts of Lanzarote continue to welcome the arrival of immigrants. During the early hours of Tuesday, two boats have arrived on the island. The first of them arrived in the Mala area, specifically on Los Robaynas beach, at around 1:30 in the morning and was detected by a thermal camera of the Civil Guard. On board were fifteen immigrants, of Maghreb origin, including four minors. "They are alleged minors who will have to undergo a bone test to determine their real age," says Marcial Martín, island delegate of the Government.
The other boat arrived at around 7:30 in the morning in the area located between Punta Mujeres and Jameos del Agua. So far, seven immigrants have been arrested, also of Maghreb origin, including three minors. Security services have installed a search device in the Malpaís de la Corona area, as it is estimated that fifteen to twenty people were traveling in the boat.
The detained immigrants have been placed at the disposal of the police and will be transferred in the coming days to the Fuerteventura Internment Center. With these two boats, approximately 46 boats have arrived on the island.
