The Local Police of Yaiza celebrated this Friday, November 25, the day of Santa Catalina, its Patron Saint, and did so with the institutional support of the City Council, distinguishing police women and men in active service and retirees. From the Consistory they point out that it was "a sober and emotional ceremony" in the Benito Pérez Armas House of Culture of Yaiza, which was held after participating in the church of Los Remedios in the Eucharist officiated by the parish priest of Yaiza, Jonathan Almeida.

The mayor of the municipality, Óscar Noda, defended in his speech the work of each of the members of the Local Police, "of the women and men who now patrol our streets daily and of those who enjoy their well-deserved retirement, we continue to provide technical resources and we hope to incorporate new agents, so it is unacceptable to choose citizen security as a populist shield.”
The head of the Local Police, Vladimir Guadalupe, also valued the work of the different security and emergency bodies that join forces in favor of neighborhood tranquility, listing “the powers that our body has, especially those dedicated to road safety, to the accompaniment and security of our minors in schools and to the attention of any incident. The town needs a strong and united Police force, with equipment and training, only then will we maintain the level of demand required by the municipality of Yaiza.”
