The employees who attend to people with reduced mobility at the Madrid-Barajas Airport forgot to disembark a 92-year-old woman with the rest of the passengers with reduced mobility in the T4S, the terminal attached to T4. After returning to T4, the workers did not remember that they had to get this passenger off the plane. These workers belong to the company Mitie, hired by Aena for this service.

According to the union Alternativa Sindical Aena/Enaire, although initially they were going to be suspended for 15 days of employment and salary, the company has decided to fire them. Thus, it adds that they have committed "a very big mistake, human and of forgetfulness, no one doubts it." However, it justifies "the absolute precariousness" suffered by the employees "and the pressure to get the service forward no matter what."

This union points out that the workers "not only receive the minimum wage", but also "work at breakneck speed in subhuman conditions, screams and abusive treatment by their superiors". In addition, it accuses the company of hiring workers with disability certificates to obtain "bonuses".

Alternativa Sindical points out that "the underlying problem" is that Aena launches "economically underfunded tenders" and that, despite receiving dozens of complaints about the PMR service, they do not address the situation until "a problem arises and appears in the media".

It also accuses the public company in charge of managing the airports of "only wanting Bisbal and his idyllic airports on TV", in reference to the Almería singer's advertisement about Spanish airports.

"They don't care about playing with the work and bread of the people at Aena. When they ask for explanations, they say that Aena is nothing more than the concessionaire. And people applaud this like seals on social networks flooded with hatred. They prey on the precarious. Sociopathy is the name of the disorder," he continues.

To conclude, this union highlights that the working and salary conditions of the personnel who work with people with reduced mobility "are not good and Aena is indirectly to blame for this."
