The first white Bengal tiger born in the Canary Islands is already at Rancho Texas Park. This Wednesday at 10.30 am, the tigress has been presented to the island's media. The animal already has a name: Langaia. And the International Environment Festival that is being held on the island has become the godparent of the little tigress.

Langaia currently weighs 3 kilos, but its weight could increase up to 300 kilos. In captivity, these animals can reach 30 years. The mother of this cub rejected her from the beginning and her caretakers have had to bring the animal forward with bottles.

According to one of the owners of Rancho Texas Park, it was one of the owners of this zoo who saw a circus in the peninsula where the animals were in poor condition. "He fell in love with the tigers and brought them to Lanzarote", he said, while recalling that this animal is in danger of extinction.
