The airlines Iberia and Vueling, both belonging to the IAG group, have made public separate statements to the media to reassure their clients regarding their operations for the summer season.

Both companies will highlight in both cases that no alterations in the supply of aviation fuel are foreseen due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz because of the war in the Middle East, nor will there be surcharges on passenger tickets.

Specifically, Iberia assures in its note that it "does not foresee suffering fuel supply interruptions this summer", for which reason it maintains the planning of its operations with normality

He also reported that "customers who have booked with Iberia or plan to do so can rest assured that the company's plans do not contemplate cancellations this summer due to the rise in 'Jet Fuel' prices, which rose another 1% last week, according to IATA."

Furthermore, the airline "guarantees that its customers have no risk of having additional charges applied after purchasing their tickets".

However, it also admits that "given the sharp rise in the price of 'Jet Fuel', the company has taken rigorous cost-saving measures to cushion the impact on the price of air tickets during the high season."

Vueling joins the launch of that "message of tranquility and confidence" to clients for the summer season

In the case of IAG's 'low cost' airline, it has detailed in its note that it is operating its flight program "as planned" and does not foresee "interruptions in the supply of fuel for this summer".

Likewise, the company "guarantees that the confirmed price at the time of booking is the final ticket price and, in no case, will additional charges be applied", even if the cost of fuel increases, it has specified.
