The air traffic controllers' strike at Lanzarote Airport has caused moderate to high delays from early Friday morning until around 11:00 a.m. This is reflected on Eurocontrol's website. However, from noon onwards, the delays have been controlled.

As La Voz has been able to verify through the Aena portal, while some flights operate normally, others suffer delays of up to three hours. This is the case of the journey between Lanzarote Airport and the city of Billund in Denmark, which should have departed at 12:25 p.m. this Friday and its departure was rescheduled to 3:20 p.m.

Meanwhile, for example, the Binter airline flight, destined for Gran Canaria, is also suffering a delay of 18 minutes this noon.

To this we must add that during this past Thursday, Lanzarote Airport became the fourth with the most delays in Europe, behind Amsterdam, Gran Canaria and Lisbon.
