The El Varadero square hosted two new events of the Puerto del Carmen festivities this Thursday, with the gymnastics exhibition and the concert by the group 4N1 LZT Got Talent. Now, the celebrations enter their final stretch this weekend.
Among the events programmed by the Festivities Commission in collaboration with the Tías City Council, the celebration of the maritime procession stands out, which will take place this Saturday starting at 6:00 p.m., and which will be accompanied by the Los Buches band. Afterwards, at 9:00 p.m., the Folklore Encounter will be held in the Plaza de El Varadero, in which the Raíces de Lanzarote and Amolán de Fuerteventura groups will participate.
In addition to the popular festival starting at 11:00 p.m., enlivened by Rika Banda and Lanzarote Swing, the children's fishing contest and the greasy pole are also scheduled for Saturday, starting at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. respectively at the Playa Chica pier. Also at 12 noon, Emerlan will carry out a simulation in Playa Grande.
At 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, the Eucharist will be celebrated and at 2:00 p.m. the Trío Sintonía Show will liven up the afternoon festival. At 7:00 p.m. the Coral Marina de Puerto del Carmen will participate in the sung mass and the land procession that will follow, in which the Tías Municipal Band and the Güerma Folklore Group will participate. At 9:00 p.m., the Jóvenes Cantadores and El Pavón groups will perform in El Varadero, and the end of the party will arrive from 11:30 p.m. with the dance enlivened by the Lanzarote quartet.
