The number of confined classrooms remains stable in Lanzarote, with four groups in quarantine

In the last week, 18 positives have been counted among the students on the island and none among the teachers

The percentage of Infant, Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate groups in quarantine due to Covid remains at 0.3% in Lanzarote. And, the island currently has four classrooms confined out of a total of 1,296, the same number as two weeks ago. 

In addition, in the last week, no positive cases have been detected among the teachers on the island, with 18 counted among the 24,740 students.

In the Canary Islands as a whole, until last Friday there were 39 classrooms in quarantine due to Covid, which represented 0.2% of the total number of Infant, Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate groups in public, subsidized and private schools in the Canary Islands, which amount to a total of 17,000. Thus, as in Lanzarote, this figure remains the same as two weeks ago. 

Regarding the cases, last week there were 304 positives among the more than 330,000 students enrolled in the archipelago and 55 positives among the more than 32,000 teachers.
