The Government of the Canary Islands has ended this Thursday the system of restrictions linked to alert levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 and has approved only two packages of measures. As of this Friday, the two islands with the worst indicators, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, will be governed by one of them; while in Lanzarote, La Graciosa, Fuerteventura, La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro the other will be applied.

From now on, and at least until next Thursday, when the Regional Government Council meets again, these are the restrictions that will be applied in Lanzarote:

General capacity: 100% outdoors and 75% indoors.

Groups of non-cohabiting people who can meet: 12 maximum.

Closing hours: until 4 in the morning.

Nightlife: 100% capacity in outdoor spaces and 75% indoors, at tables of 12 people and closing at 4.

Hospitality and catering: 100% capacity outdoors and 75% indoors, at tables of 12 people and closing time at 04.00 hours.

Practice of non-federated physical and sports activity: 100% capacity outdoors and 75% indoors and in groups of 12 people maximum, except for cohabitants.

Federated sports practice of regional or island scope: 100% capacity of public outdoors and 75% capacity of public indoors.

Cultural activity: in public outdoor spaces it will have 100% capacity and in closed cultural and artistic premises and establishments 75%.

Health centers: visits are allowed normally in hospitals.

Measures on transport for all the islandsIn discretionary public transport of travelers in passenger cars and rental with driver, of up to nine seats including the driver, it is allowed to occupy all the rear seats of the vehicle, as well as those offered in the row of seats of the driver, when the rear ones have been previously exhausted, unless the driver can be considered as a person at risk.

The capacity in regular public land transport, urban and metropolitan, of travelers is set at 100% of the maximum capacity allowed for the respective vehicles. Adequate ventilation and/or air renewal must be guaranteed, as well as the rest of the general measures for the prevention and control of SARS-CoV-2.
