The Máguez Nature Classroom has started its environmental education activities. Between November 18 and 21, three groups of students belonging to the fourth level of the CEIP César Manrique Cabrera of Tahíche have spent their stay in this enclave.
The Councilor of the Cabildo responsible for the area, Hugo Delgado, has been "very satisfied" with the result of the classroom after the improvements and conditioning. "Thanks to the provision of this educational center, a series of official pictograms have also been incorporated in Spain, which facilitate the inclusion of T.E.A. students (autism spectrum disorder) allowing to identify in this case the different facilities that are part of the Nature Classroom", he explained.
Throughout their stay, the participating students carried out different activities, where they were able to learn through the realization of interpretive trails, the most significant natural, cultural and historical elements of the environment of the town of Máguez and Haría.
Located in the town of Máguez "in an exceptional natural environment" of our island, the Nature Classroom constitutes an environmental equipment equipped with the infrastructure, material and human resources necessary to manage environmental education programs and/or action plans for education for sustainability.
