"From the plant to the root". This was the title chosen by the musical group Raíces for their first concert in a theater, in this case, in San Bartolomé. It took place this Saturday at 9:00 p.m. and the "no tickets" sign was hung.
During the concert, Raíces revealed a totally different format from the one it has been offering since its inception. With a very well-cared staging, the first musical chords began to sound, which lasted for two hours.
The public hummed the songs and applauded during the performance of Raíces, which for this occasion made a very good musical selection. And they even dared to cover composers of the stature of Juan Luis Guerra, Nacho Cano, Silvio Rodríguez or Pedro Guerra, among others. Thus, he chose songs like "Bachata Rosa", "Me cuesta tanto olvidarte", "El Unicornio Azul" or "Raíz".
Invited singers
As usual in the concerts offered by this group, several singers were invited to share the stage with "Raíces" at the Teatro de San Bartolomé. Araceli Bravo and Pedro César Pérez collaborated with "Raíces" on this special night.
The public greatly enjoyed this concert and also the chosen stage, for the first time a theater. Attendees even waited for an hour before the doors of this space were opened.
Before the concert ended, the director, Roberto Gil, very excited, thanked the welcome and the warmth received throughout the performance. The audience standing up gave him long applause and the group decided to end the night with a lively potpourri of rumbas.
