The Plenary Hall of the Cabildo of Lanzarote hosted last Monday the act of taking office of eight new firefighters to reinforce the staff of the Fire Department.

Jesús Manuel Mateo, Rubén Callero, Francisco Perdomo, Eduardo Yann, Darío Morales, Néstor Cabrera, Isaac Llamas and Miguel Ángel García took office as civil servants after a twelve-month internship.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, accompanied by the councillor of the Consortium, Marcos Bergaz, welcomed the officials and offered them their support in their new professional career. “Today is a happy day, for us, as a team, and for the families of each of you, because the commitment and professionalism you have shown to become part of this great family is a source of pride”, she pointed out.

Likewise, the Councillor for Security and Emergencies of the Consortium, Marcos Begaz, stressed the work of the Consortium during the last year and expressed his satisfaction because “a different stage begins, with renewed airs” and with the commitment of a generation to serve its community and make it a safe place to live.
