29 agents of the National Police and one of the Civil Guard of the island have attended a First Aid Workshop taught by the Red Cross Classroom. In this way, the organization wants to increase training in health care to those people who, due to their work, are more likely to witness an accident or emergency.

To achieve full learning of the techniques, the members of the Red Cross are developing two shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so that all registered agents can attend the entire course that ends next Saturday.

Red Cross instructs 6% of the Spanish population in first aid every year through talks and workshops, although it wants to increase this figure and, therefore, has set itself the challenge of increasing the percentage by 4% annually. "According to studies, when a population is 30% educated, the probability of survival of accident victims increases considerably".
