Mary Sánchez, one of the most famous ladies of song in the Canary Islands, says goodbye to her audience after a successful musical career. She does so with a show, entitled "Gracias por nacer canaria", which she has brought to Lanzarote and will take her to various points in the archipelago. At the Arrecife fairgrounds, several hundred people gathered to say goodbye to the artist.

Sánchez performed songs such as "De La Isleta al Refugio", with which she brought the audience to their feet at the end of the concert. The artist offered a recital that lasted almost two hours, with a simple but emotional staging, and also included in her repertoire songs composed by Néstor Álamo.

Many fans crowded afterwards at the door of the dressing room to take pictures with the singer, who is expected to give three concerts in Tenerife, La Palma and La Gomera, before saying goodbye definitively to the stage to dedicate herself, as she herself has stated, to the care of her family.

The concert, organized by the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, directed by Zebensui Rodríguez, has been one of the highlights of the festivities in honor of San Ginés. "I appreciate the generosity of Mary Sánchez, there are many people from Lanzarote who have followed her career and it is a true honor that her farewell tour brought her to the port of Arrecife, to this island that loves her so much," said the mayor.
