Lanzarote recorded 124 workplace accidents in the first month of the year

In the same period of 2024, the island recorded a total of 217 workplace accidents, 0.43% more than at present

Workers in Lanzarote suffered a total of 124 workplace accidents in January 2025 that required sick leave. Of these, the majority (121) were minor, while only three were classified as serious. This is according to data from the Department of Tourism and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands, compiled by the Data Center of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. 

In the same period of 2024, the island recorded a total of 217 workplace accidents, 43% more than at present. Of these, only one was serious, while the rest were classified as minor. 

Thus, by months, last April and August of 2024 were the months with the most workplace accidents recorded on the island.
