Lanzarote has once again registered another 30 positive cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, which has already raised the number of active cases on the island to 233. And, although 20 discharges have also been reported in the last day, they have not compensated for the rebound in new cases.

In addition, the accumulated incidence on the island continues to skyrocket, reaching 121.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days this Tuesday, which is almost 13 points more than the previous day. Regarding the incidence at 14 days, it has risen to 191.3, so both indicators remain at "high risk."

So far, the increase in cases in Lanzarote has not translated into a large increase in hospital pressure, although in recent days there have been several admissions. Another patient entered the ICU last day, bringing the total to four in this unit. Regarding the Covid ward, it had been empty last week, but now it has four people admitted.

Regarding the tests carried out, 325 were carried out this Monday, well below the previous days, in which the screening was being completed in the Arrecife gymnasium where an outbreak was detected. Only linked to that center, 127 infections have already been confirmed in the last two weeks: 69 from users and workers and the rest from family, social and work ramifications.

In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,284 cases of Covid have been diagnosed in Lanzarote, of which 5,003 have been discharged and 48 have died.
