Lanzarote Ireland Network (LIN) celebrated St. Patrick's Day this Thursday in Lanzarote. To mark the occasion, the collaboration network held a gala this Thursday that united Ireland with Lanzarote at the Gran Hotel in Arrecife. The facade of this characteristic building was lit up in green for the occasion.

Businessmen and institutional representatives from the island attended the event. Catherine Noone, honorary president of LIN, was in charge of welcoming a very special night. In said reception she expressed what is the collaborative spirit of the network between both islands and exposed "the pillars and main lines of action in which it works: business and tourism; sports, culture and art; and youth development, together with support for people at risk of social exclusion."

Project director Jerónimo Falcón presented the keys to the first Commercial Mission between Lanzarote and Ireland, which will hold its first meeting on March 29 in Dublin.

There, more than ten Irish companies from the technological field will meet, interested in creating new horizons of growth and competitiveness in Lanzarote. Subsequently, it is planned that, during the days of May 3, 4 and 5, the representatives of the interested companies will visit the island, to establish possible investments, thus promoting the diversification of the economy and quality employment, as announced by Lanzarote Ireland Network in a statement.

Finally, the highlight of the event was a fundraising for the Adassa Sports Club and the Spanish Association Against Cancer Lanzarote. All this, in order to support associations that work to offer opportunities to young people with functional diversity and patients with long periods of treatment. After granting a check for the value of €3,380 to their representatives, present there.
