Lanzarote Bus Workers on Strike

Just 24 hours after Lanzarote Bus stated that it would no longer sit down to negotiate, the workers have announced that they are suspending the strike as of this Monday, December 17, due to "the rapprochement" of the parties and "in the interest of understanding."

According to Intersindical Canaria, the assembly held this Friday, December 14, has decided to postpone the strike "as long as what has been accepted by the workers' proposal is maintained." The four points included are "to agree on and adapt the workers' split shift", that in the February payroll "the agreed salary increase of 129 gross euros be regularized in a specific bonus called bonus on account of agreement for all workers equally", that "the payrolls of the strike period be reviewed since the workers understand that they have not been correctly paid" and finally "that no retaliation be taken or disciplinary proceedings be opened against the workers."

The strike by Lanzarote Bus workers began on December 2.
