The president of Emergencies and Rescue of Lanzarote (Emerlan), Isidoro Blanco, has decided to resign from the position. "Personal circumstances force me to do so and not being at all an easy pill to swallow, it is the most appropriate decision at this time", he says in a statement sent to the media.
In a few lines of farewell, Blanco has expressed his "gratitude to all the staff and management for so many moments and circumstances shared during these more than 20 years."
In addition, he emphasizes that in these two decades, "Emerlan has been growing and being a reference for emergencies on the island, contributing its grain of sand for the safety of Lanzarote and La Graciosa."
"They will continue to have my support and help in any circumstance they need", concludes Isidoro Blanco, who just over a month ago received the Cross of Merit of the Civil Guard.
