The gathering was called for twelve in the morning by Comisiones Obreras. Health workers, nursing assistants and senior technicians have met at the main door of the General Hospital of Lanzarote to demand a professional recognition that, according to this group, will equate these professionals in category with the rest of the workers.
The Ministry of Health, according to Comisiones Obreras, has refused to recognize "the necessary qualification" to be able to proceed with the change in professional classification, so since May it has been calling mobilizations throughout Spain.
According to this group, the State must accept the report of the Institute of Qualifications, INCUAL, so that, in this way, the European requirements are met, because it is not possible to change the professional classification until the Ministry recognizes the workers the necessary qualification.
