Half of Lanzarote's target population has already received the two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, so the goal of reaching 70% of those immunized is getting closer and closer. In fact, almost 68% already have at least one dose administered.

The island thus remains well ahead of the regional and national average. In the case of the Canary Islands, 38.75% of the target population has the complete regimen and 58.21% have received at least one dose.

In Lanzarote, 152,865 doses had been administered by this Sunday, which means that 88,760 people have already been reached. And of these, 64,900 had already received both.

By age group, those over 80 and 90 have been 100% immunized in Lanzarote for weeks. As for the 70 to 79 group, 94.9% already have both doses. The most lagging is the 60 to 69 age group, since most received the first dose of AstraZeneca, which requires a longer waiting period between one and the other.

However, in the 50 to 59 group, 82.2% of the population had already reached both doses by this Sunday, and in the 40 to 49 age group, 64.8%. In the latter, 74.7% already have at least one dose.

Thus, progress continues to be made in the following groups, where the island is also far ahead of the average for the Canary Islands and Spain. In the group of 30 to 39 years old, 55.4% already have at least one dose and 16.4% have both. As for the group of 20 to 29, which has also already started, 31.2% have one dose and 6.7% have both.
