Tourists from Nordic countries, with a daily expenditure of 225.8 euros per person, spent the most in Lanzarote during the first quarter of the year, according to the latest report of tourism indicators of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
The report includes data on Nordic, British, peninsular, German and Dutch tourist spending on the island.
Nordic travelers, arriving from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, spent 10% more than the previous year when their daily expenditure amounted to 204.1 euros.
Next, the British, who spent an average of 185.6 euros per day per person. The amount is 6.4% higher than the expenditure of the previous winter, when it stood at 174.6 euros per traveler from the United Kingdom.
The expenditure of the peninsular tourist amounted to 176.4 euros, about 4% more than during the previous winter, when it was 169.6 euros per person.
For its part, German tourism spent practically the same this winter in Lanzarote as last year, 174.4 euros per person.
Meanwhile, the expenditure of Dutch tourism decreased. If last winter each Dutchman spent 153.8 euros in Lanzarote, during the first quarter of 2025 their daily disbursement amounted to 151.8 euros.
The average expenditure of the tourist arriving in Lanzarote, regardless of their nationality, amounted to 186 euros between January and March.
Almost half is allocated to accommodation, which has increased by 7%, while transport takes a quarter.
The item destined for restaurants and cafes, although small, was the one that increased the most in percentage, 11% more, going from 19 euros per person per day to 21 euros per day.
