"Al Alba entre Cuerdas". This is the title of the second album by the parranda El Golpito, which was presented on Thursday night at the Aqua nightclub in Arrecife. The event began at 9:00 p.m. with a completely full capacity. The last to arrive could not enter the premises for security reasons.
The parranda El Golpito began its journey in 2006 with the purpose of brightening up the festivals of the towns of Lanzarote. As a result of their participation in the program-contest "Parrandiando", on Canarian television, where they faced more than 40 parrandas, the group became a phenomenon.
El Golpito has performed up to 16 times in a single month. The parranda has become well known throughout the Canary Islands and has also performed in the peninsula and even in Portugal. It was in 2010 when El Golpito recorded their first album, entitled "De parranda", which became a sales record. They even had to duplicate the copies so that their album would reach the entire public.
Almost two years later, El Golpito returned to the recording studios to release their second album, "Al Alba entre Cuerdas", which consists of 14 varied songs, such as rancheras, corridos, canarias and potpourris.
All the themes are very popular and well known. The parranda has made arrangements to adapt the songs to its line, giving it a more parrandero and danceable air. Its seven members gave it their all on the stage of the Aqua nightclub, making the night a great party. The event ended with the signing of albums and the group took photos with hundreds of attendees.
