Daily positives rise to 8 in Lanzarote but active cases continue to fall

In the last hours, 12 discharges have been reported on the island, so there are 42 coronavirus patients remaining.

Daily cases of Covid have suffered a slight increase in the last day, in which 8 positives have been reported. However, active cases continue to decline, as 12 new discharges have also been recorded this Thursday. Thus, there are 42 diagnosed patients who continue with the active disease on the island.

Despite the increase compared to the previous three days, the cumulative incidence at 7 and 14 days remains practically the same as the previous day, with 26.3 and 75.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively.

As for the number of tests, 383 were carried out yesterday on the island by the Health Department, with a figure similar to that of Monday and Tuesday.

In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 6,648 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Lanzarote, of which 6,554 have already overcome the disease and 51 have died.
