The first notes begin to sound. Unmistakable. Celtas Cortos are already on stage ready to offer the best of their particular style and sing in favor of the disadvantaged and against injustices. Hundreds of people are in the Plaza del Varadero in Puerto del Carmen to listen to these Valladolid natives who have been dedicated to music for more than twenty years. For nearly two hours, attendees vibrated with the group's new songs, which, of course, did not forget their best classics.

The concert began with two of the songs from their latest album C'est la Vie. It is the first compact in which the group's new singer appears after Jesús Hernández Cifuentes left the band in 2003. Next, they played 'Skaparate Nacional', one of their most well-known songs for the criticism they make of those who let themselves be carried away by what the majority does.

With an overwhelming rhythm and intermingling the songs with Celtic music, the atmosphere of the Plaza del Varadero was getting better and better. The large crowd that gathered in the place did not stop dancing and cheering the group. From their most loyal fans to children vibrated to the sound of Celtas Cortos, especially with the words dedicated to César Manrique and Lanzarote.

The best known

Towards the middle of the concert, the group began to play the best-known songs. In this way, ‘¿Qué voy a hacer yo?', ‘Tranquilo Majete' or ‘Romance de Rosabella y Domingo' sounded. Some themes in which social pressure or the love story between Rosabella and Domingo are discussed, a song in which Celtic music is mixed with the sounds of South America.

Meanwhile, the whole group got involved in the great show with dances accompanied by a great play of lights. All the members of the band spent the concert moving around the stage and encouraging the attendees. To the rhythm of 'C'est la vie' the group presented in the form of a story, as it does in all its concerts, each of the members of the band to end by thanking the public for their presence and their loyalty for so many years.

But Celtas Cortos could not leave the attendees' desire to continue listening to their live performance like that. For that reason, when they got off the stage, nobody moved from the square and after asking them to come out again, the band did not hesitate. These were the most vibrant moments of the concert, since the group played their best-known lyrics. Everyone danced to the rhythm of 'Lluvia en soledad', '20 de abril', 'No nos podrán parar' or 'La senda del tiempo'.

In short, a magnificent live performance with which the people of Lanzarote and visitors enjoyed some Valladolid natives who do not leave aside their music and their protest through Celtic music.
