The third wave of Covid has left a new death in Lanzarote. The deceased is a 67-year-old man, as confirmed to La Voz by health sources.

With this one there are already nine deaths registered on the island in just over a week. Thus, the third wave has already claimed as many deaths as the other two combined. The first resulted in six and the second in three.

The man who died this Wednesday was admitted to the ICU of the Molina Orosa Hospital and had previous pathologies.

Of those who died in the third wave, it should be remembered that one was a woman of only 38 years old, who was transferred to Gran Canaria and ended up dying there. As for the rest, they were between 68 and 85 years old and all had previous pathologies and were hospitalized, with the exception of a man who died at home, later confirming that he was positive for Covid.
