A total of 79 applicants are vying for two positions in the Local Police of Tías. The City Council has already published on the notice board and on its website the definitive list of admitted and excluded applicants for this selection process of two new agents, which is carried out through the opposition system in a free shift. The selection procedure will begin next Wednesday.
In total, 88 people have applied, of which 79 have been admitted for meeting all the conditions required in the bases of this call. According to the City Council, the remaining 9 applicants have been excluded from the selection process "for not submitting the correction of defects in a timely manner".
Next Wednesday the 16th, once the Qualifying Tribunal has been constituted, all admitted applicants will begin the selection procedure. The first stage of this process will be the measurement and weighing. Applicants must provide their valid ID or passport for identification.
Once the measurement and weighing have been carried out, the result will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas, as well as on the notice board and the website of the Tías City Council, and the Qualifying Tribunal will agree on the date, time and place for the first exercise, consisting of physical tests.
The Councilor for Human Resources, Economy and Finance of the Tías City Council, Ramón Melián, has stated that "with the upcoming incorporation of these two new agents to the staff of the Local Police of Tías, the Government team fulfills its commitment to reinforce and provide more personnel to this security force".
However, Melián hopes that "for the next year 2017 we will be authorized to increase the number of local police officers in our municipality, since security continues to be one of our main objectives".
