The Tías City Council has proceeded this Thursday to close the rural roads of the municipality for the use of quads or special all-terrain four-wheeled vehicles similar to motorcycles. During the morning of this Thursday, thirteen prohibition signs have been placed in order to regulate circulation on these roads.
Municipal workers have installed signs prohibiting the circulation of quads in Barranco Negro, the Vereda de Conil road, El Puerto road, the Tías-Puerto del Carmen road, Tres Peñas road, Mojón Salado road, Las Quinzuelas road, Los Pocillos road and Peña del Asiento road.
The Tías City Council regulates the circulation of motor vehicles and road safety with the aim of protecting urban roads and especially rural roads from the deterioration they suffer from the passage of quads and vehicles of similar characteristics, as well as the protection of landscape, environmental and cultural elements.
