Since United States and Israel started the war against Iran, which has paralyzed the transit of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, petroleum derivatives have not stopped increasing in price in Lanzarote.
The most expensive diesel on the island is located this Wednesday at 1.609 euros per liter, at the Repsol gas stations located on the Arrecife Beltway. Fossil fuels do not stop increasing their price on the island, two weeks ago, the most expensive gas station in Lanzarote had diesel at 1.590 and gasoline 95 at 1.420.
Meanwhile, gasoline 95 has reached highs of 1.465 euros per liter at two Disa gas stations in Arrecife and one Shell in the capital of Lanzarote. In contrast, gasoline 98 has risen to 1.555 per liter at the same gas station.
On the opposite side, the cheapest diesel is at 1.419 euros at the two Plenergy gas stations in Arrecife. At these same service stations, the cheapest 95 gasoline in Lanzarote is located at 1.319 euros per liter.
Throughout 2025, on average diesel cost 1.333 euros per liter, while gasoline 95 was worth 1.140 euros per liter and gasoline 98, 1.274.
At the beginning of the year, diesel was in Lanzarote at an average price of 1.185 euros per liter, equated with the price of gasoline, which cost an average of 1.187 euros.
