The Festivities in Honor of San Francisco Javier de Yé 2026 have begun with the celebration of the traditional opening speech, an event full of emotion, memories, and recognition for those who have contributed to keeping the town's traditions alive over the years.

The opening speech was led by representatives of the second generation of the Festival Committee, Acoraida Hernández, Dunia Figueroa, Javier Viñoly, Vanessa Perdomo, and Yéssica Perdomo, who shared experiences and anecdotes linked to celebrations that are part of Yé's history and identity.

The event was attended by neighbors, municipal representatives, and numerous attendees who wanted to accompany the speakers at the official start of the festivities. After the opening speech, traditional Canarian music was the main highlight of the night with the participation of several folk groups and parrandas.
