Tías local police officers, in the afternoon of last Saturday, proceeded to arrest D. S. C., 21 years old, from La Coruña, and R. C. R., 26 years old, from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, accused of an alleged crime of robbery with force.
The events began after receiving an anonymous call alerting of the presence of two individuals who had forced the window of a house in the town of Mácher, accessing it and later leaving the place in a white vehicle. Then, and since a police unit was in the area at that time, they observed the presence of a vehicle that was leaving at high speed from the road where the reference house was located, heading towards Puerto Calero.
Therefore, a chase begins while alerting all existing units, who proceed to block all existing exits. It should be noted that during the chase the occupants of the vehicle were getting rid of various objects such as a crowbar and a small case containing jewelry, which they threw out the window, although they could be recovered later.
Finally, the suspicious vehicle was intercepted by two other units that had already closed the road with the respective vehicles, in order to block the way. During the search that was later carried out in the vehicle, a balaclava, a mask, various tools and numerous items of clothing were found, material whose origin the suspects did not justify.
The detainees were taken to the Tías Local Police facilities, where, once the appropriate procedures had been carried out, they were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
