Agents of the Local Police of Yaiza arrested V.F.M. and S.C.Ll. this weekend, from San Bartolomé and Valencia, respectively, as alleged perpetrators of a robbery with force, in an attempted degree, which occurred last Saturday, November 20, around 10:50 p.m., in a well-known commercial establishment in the town of Yaiza.
Apparently, according to police sources, the owner of the establishment, who lives in an adjoining building, was startled by hearing "loud knocks outside." Upon leaving, he saw that V.F.M. and S.C.Ll. were trying to break one of the store's windows, with a sledgehammer, to gain access to its interior.
After being surprised, the assailants forced the neighbor to return to his home with insults and death threats, according to the City Council in a press release. Once in his house, the owner of the establishment alerted the Local Police, who launched an operation that resulted in the location and subsequent arrest of V.F.M. and S.C.Ll. Inside the vehicle in which they were traveling, the Police found a sledgehammer, a pair of gloves, pliers and other tools.
V.F.M. and S.C.Ll. were handed over to the Civil Guard, who will make them available to the courts.
