Last weekend, a brawl broke out between foreigners in a bar located on Avenida del Jablillo in Costa Teguise. Once the Civil Guard arrived at the scene, the agents verified that there were abundant traces of blood in the area and apparently, according to some witnesses, two African citizens had been transferred to the General Hospital of Arrecife with minor injuries to their upper extremities.
Subsequently, after investigating the circumstances of what happened and once the injured were discharged from medical care, the Civil Guard of Costa Teguise proceeded to arrest three of those involved in the brawl, with the Senegalese P.M., 27 years old, M.D., 24 years old, and M.S., 18 years old, all residents and neighbors of Arrecife, being arrested.
The dispute occurred when four Senegalese subjects were having drinks and two of them began to argue heatedly with each other. One of them broke a glass bottle struggling with his compatriot, at which point another of the companions intervened to prevent the fight from escalating, resulting in both being injured.
After taking a statement from the three detainees, they were released pending appearance for the celebration of a Speedy Trial for a crime of Injury.
